Colorectal Cancer is the number 2 cancer killer in the United States. More than half the patients who will die of colorectal cancer this year could have been saved by early screening. Of the more than 50,000 people expected to die of colorectal cancer this year, screening could have saved more than half of them. Colorectal cancer is often curable when detected early. Colon Cancer Screening, also known as a colonoscopy, is recommended starting at age 50 for people who are at average risk for colorectal cancer. Most importantly, a colonoscopy can save lives.
